Special Dates in our Family

A few months ago I was browsing Pinterest and came across something that someone had done. They put down all the special dates in their family in number form. This has stuck with me and I really wanted to do this. I got on photoshop and designed all the special dates in our family.

This is what it looks like:

I did my hubby's birthday, my birthday, our wedding date, my little girls birthday, and my little boys birthday.

I love how it turned out!

I went to our local thrift store the other day and found a ton of frames there for cheap! This is going to be a new place for me to go to look for crafts things! I pulled out one of the frames I got there. It was brown and in pretty good shape, but I wanted it to match my special dates and my room.

So I spray painted it black.

After that dried, I put a coat of lacquer over it to shine it up and protect it.

After it dried I made some cute flowers to put on it.
To see how to make the yellow circle flowers go HERE
For the burlap flower:
All I did was cut a strip about 1 inch wide and 12 inches long. Then I just folded it like a fan, but turing as I went to it make a flower. Then I stitched it together in the middle!

Here is what it looks like all put together:
Since I took the picture outside its a little hard to see the white numbers, but inside it is not hard!)

I just LOVE it!!! What do you think??
