Easy Ice Cream Cake

I have a great and easy Summer Dessert Recipe for you today!

This is a great dessert to take to BBQ'S and summer parties
and it goes together so quickly.
I recently made it for a family party and everyone LOVED it,
especially the kiddos!

I actually got this idea from my friend a few years back who made it for us.

The Recipe today is for an
EASY ICE CREAM CAKE:

What You Will Need
To Make This:

As you probably can guess from the picture,
the SECRET easy ingredient in this is Ice Cream Sandwiches!

- You will actually need 4 boxes of ice cream sandwiches if you are doing a 9x13 pan. You can do any flavor, my favorites are the mint chocolate chip and also the cookies and cream.
-1 large Cool Whip
-Chocolate & Caramel Syrup

How To Make It:
First you are going to need to unwrap a few ice cream sandwiches and put 1 layer of them in the bottom of the pan. I do 2 rows across width wise with the ice cream sandwiches going length wise. You will need to be creative and cut some of the sandwiches up to fill in the smaller areas.

Then you are going to put a layer of Cool Whip on that. I use half the container.

Next, you will do another layer of ice cream sandwiches.

It will look something like this:

Then you will put the rest of the Cool Whip on the top for the last layer.

After you get that on, you will drizzle the chocolate and caramel syrup all over the Cool Whip.

It doesn't look to pretty right now, but that's ok!!

Lastly I take a knife and swirl the syrups in.
It will look like this:

Much Better Looking!!!

It is best to put it back in the freezer for a couple of hours
before serving so the Cool Whip can freeze a little.

When you are ready, just cut and serve.

I just love all the layers that are in this. It looks so pretty!

Hope you will try this recipe!
ENJOY!
