My hubby is going in for knee surgery today:( Depending on how things go I might be taking a few days off from the blog. I am praying that he has a quick and speedy recovery!!
So today I have a simple and fun recipe to share with you.
It is for the best Rice Crispy Treats!!
They will NEVER dry out....or I should say that won't dry out before they all get eaten! They are absolutely delicious!
Here's what you need to make them:
How to Make them:
First, my little helper put 8 cups of rice crispies into a large bowl
Next, we melted the 2 cubes butter and added 3/4 cups of both brown and white sugar.
When those got mixed together we added 3/4 bag of the big marshmallows.
After a few minutes those melted down.
I removed from heat and added 1 1/2 tsp. of vanilla.
I mixed that in and then poured the sauce over the rice crispies
I mixed that all together. Then I transferred it into a 9"x13" pan. My little helper helped me spread it all out!
Lastly, my little miss put sprinkles on them!!
Of course...that was her favorite part! She did love helping me through the whole process though!
If you try this recipe out, I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!!

Yum!! I LOVE rice krispy treats! I've never seen them with anything other than butter and marshmallow. I think I will be able to eat the whole batch if I add sugar and vanilla! Thanks for sharing! Pinning!

ReplyDeleteI stumbled across this recipe and I think I will try this out. By the looks of the photo the brown sugar was packed? Is that right? Or do I use loose brown sugar.
ReplyDeleteThanks
