A couple of weeks ago I did an Easter Edition on my weekly Pinterest Picks,
which can be found HERE.
I found the cutest egg art and included that into the list.
Here is what the Pinterest Version looks like:
I thought it was so cute so I decided to make my own version of this!
HERE IS WHAT MINE LOOKS LIKE:
I just LOVE how it all came together!!!
How I Made It:
I looked in my frame stash and found one that I had gotten at a local thrift store. It was perfect for this project. I took the back out so I could paint it.
I had pictured in my head how I wanted mine to look and I wanted a colored frame so I chose pink for the color. I spray painted the frame. I did a few coats on it until it was good and covered.
I wanted to create my own mat for this, so I took silver sparkly paper I had on hand and cut it down to the size of the frame. Then I figured out how thick I wanted it to be and cut a rectangle in the middle of it out using my Cricut. Which created my own mat for it!!
I put that in the frame with a white piece of card stock behind it and then put the back piece back on. I left the piece of glass out because I like the look of it better with out it. I am going to use that for another project!
Next, was the fun part...ok it was a little challenging...trying to figure out the pattern for the eggs. I got the size I wanted and cut a bunch out in different scrapbook papers using my Circut. I am such a visual person so I had to do this to get what I wanted. I cut out about 7 different papers, but ended up only using 3 and put them in rows so it looks like stripes. I like the look of this better than anything else I did.
Lastly, I put those onto the frame where I wanted them. I used foam tape to put them on with. This way they stick up a bit giving it a 3D look.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way it turned out!!
Definitely better than expected!
EEEK!!!
I am so excited to put it up this week, along with all my other Easter Decor,
now that I am taking my St. Patty's down!

I'm visited from the We Like to Learn as We Go link party and wanted to tell you how much I love this! Being rather new to the world of DIY, I've never spray painted a frame, but now I really want to. I love the pink you chose and how well everything goes together. Thanks for sharing!
