The Last Blog Post

My heart is breaking as I write this post today.

Over the last 2 1/2 years I have enjoyed my spare time blogging and
sharing my love of crafting and recipes with all of you. It was the highlight
of my weekend nights when my hubby was working graveyards
and the kiddos where in bed asleep.

I have met so many amazing bloggy friends. It has been so fun to get
to know others in different states and come together to host different things.

Over the last few weeks my heart has been torn. Life is getting
so busy because my hubby and I decided to open our own business.
Yes, CRAZY I know!!
It has been going so well and is keeping my hubby really busy.
The bad part is we haven't been able to hire employees yet
so I have been helping him out a lot.

I am losing my time that I can spend working on my
own blog stuff and crafting.

So sadly today I am
no longer going to be writing new posts for my blog
Two Yellow Birds Decor.

I will be keeping it up for now so my stuff that is out there
will still have tutorials and recipes.

Right now I have to take a moment to say.....

Honestly,
I can't THANK YOU ENOUGH!
You have all been so amazingly supportive over the last 2 1/2 years.
I appreciate all of the sweet comments and comments of encouragement.
They have all meant so much to me.

I would still love to
KEEP IN CONTACT
with all you amazing bloggy friends
so please feel free to:

AND YOU CAN ALSO

My BIG NEWS

Before I tell you my Big News I need to give you a little background first:

Just before Christmas 2011 my daughter and I made her preschool teacher a Crayon Wreath to give to her for a Christmas Present.

Here is the wreath:

If you would like to know how to make this, you can go HERE.

I loved how it turned out and her teacher absolutely loved it as well! She still has it hanging in her classroom today!

And Now for my
BIG NEWS:

At the beginning of March I was contacted by Parenting Magazine about this Crayon Wreath. They loved it and wanted to see if they could use it in a future story they were working on for the magazine.
My first thought was, "No way! This can't be possible."
But it was and it was right there in front of me!
How could I say no to such an amazing opportunity?!?!
So I gladly accepted.

I sent them over the information they needed and found out it was going to be put in the June 2013 Issue.
They could not show me anything until the magazine came out. Bummer!

After what felt like many many months it finally came!!!

Here it is:

I can't believe it went under the "Hot on Pinterest" Section! Wow!!
I have to thank all my amazing readers, followers and Pinterest for making this possible!
I feel so honored to have had this happen!
THANK YOU!

Swiss Days

Every year over Labor Day Weekend in Midway, Utah
they hold a fun celebration called
Swiss Days.
It is a 2 day even that brings in tens of thousands of people.
They have many many booths of vendors that come in and bring all kinds of crafts, holiday decor, jewelry, kids clothing, music, gift wrapping, photography, paintings, etc.
The list goes could go on forever. I think overall the majority of it is crafts and holiday decor.
They really do have the cutest things up there for this event.
We talked with one vendor that came in from California!
Its amazing all those that want to come in from other states to be apart of this event!

My Mom, Sisters and I have had a tradition for years to go up there.
It is always so fun to go as just us girls with no kids and be together.
It was funny to me this year though. As I have gotten more into making my own crafts, I looked at a lot of things saying to myself, "I could make that and not have to spend that kind of money to get it!"
I wasn't expecting this to happen,
but I now have a TON of ideas of things I could do in the next little while that
I wanted to buy, but decided to make it myself!!

Here are a couple of pictures:

This was really early Friday morning so the crowd wasn't too bad. This is just one small area of vendor tents there.

This is one row of the tents, but you can see the crowd this brings in!!!

If you would like to read more about
Swiss Days
Go HERE.

Hope you all have a fabulous Holiday weekend!

Summer Fun Party {Features}

I can't believe we are now a few weeks into the summer! I hope you have all been able to get such wonderful and fabulous ideas from the summer fun party to do with your kiddos. I have been AMAZED at everything that has been shared! There have been over 300 links shared!!! Wow!

If you haven't stopped by the party go HERE to get awesome ideas to kick the summer boredom with your kids. You can also share any ideas that you would like to as well!

As one of the summer fun party hosts, I am going to FEATURE a few ideas from the party that I just love.

Homemade Bubbles @ Homestead Simple. This is definitely a summer activity we do in our house. I am actually blowing bubbles with my little boy as I write this:) I am so excited to have the recipe to make my own bubbles at home!

Binocular Scavenger Hunt @ Life As We Know It. What a fun idea to have the kids help make there own binoculars out of toilet paper rolls and then have them go on a scavenger hunt! I love this cute game!!

Paper Plate Lion @ Serenity You. This is an adorable activity and would be perfect for my kids. They are 4 and 20 months. They would love to make this cute little lion. She also did paper crocodiles too. This would be super fun to have the kids make and then head to the zoo with them!

Travel Bingo @ Random Bits. What a fun way to beat boredom in the car on a road trip. I love this idea of playing bingo with things that the kids see on the road. My little girl would love this. I will be printing this out for our next road trip!

Hot off the Grill Cupcakes @ Phaedra's Adventures. These cupcakes are so cute!! What a perfect way to end a sumer BBQ party! I love it. I know my kids would love to help make these!

Driveway Dice Roll Board Game @ Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational. I LOVE the game she has created that can be done outside in the driveway. It looks and sounds so fun! Go to her blog to see how to play it!

Homemade Popsicles @ Walking in Hight Cotton. I remember growing up, making homemade popsicles with my Mom. I loved making them with her. I totally need to do with my kids. It really would be a fun thing to do together and then go outside and enjoy them. On her blog she also has some yummy recipes to make for them too!

Homemade Finger Paint @ Little Sprinkles of Fun. I have never seen a recipe for homemade finger paints. What a fun thing to make with the kids and then let them get there creative juices going with making some art with it! Love this idea!!

Thanks to all you wonderful ladies for sharing your Awesome ideas at the Summer Fun Party!

I will be featuring more of you over the summer!! Make sure to check back!
